ScriptSource is a service operated by SIL International to serve language communities worldwide. These Terms of Use apply only to what is provided through the scriptsource.org online service, and not to other services of SIL International.

Using information on ScriptSource

Content on ScriptSource is publicly viewable, except for contributions in draft status or awaiting moderation, and private information as discussed in our Privacy and Data Retention Policy. The purpose of this content is to gather knowledge and resources about scripts, characters and languages in order to stimulate the development of fonts, keyboards and other software needed to support the use of writing systems on computers.

Use of content and software published on ScriptSource is governed by the particular license applied to each separate contribution. You may not reuse content from this site except according to the terms of those licenses. All content remains the property of the original rights holders. Do not assume any rights are granted if they are not clearly indicated. For further details and permissions you must contact the rights holders directly. ScriptSource is not able to provide additional rights or negotiate agreements between users and contributors.

Certain bodies of general content on ScriptSource have been incorporated by permission of the following rights holders and according to their usage guidelines:

• Language data includes information from the  Ethnologue and is copyright © 2012 SIL International. It is used under the terms listed on the  SIL web site.
• Some character and locale data is from  The Unicode Standard Character Database and the  Common Locale Data Repository (CLDR), is copyright © 1991-2011 Unicode, Inc. and is used under the terms of the license agreement copied below and on the  Unicode web site.

ScriptSource does not accept any responsibility for improper use of copyrighted material by its users.

Fair use
