Thank you for your interest in adding to ScriptSource! We have tried to make the process for adding information to the site as simple as possible: FIND - CHOOSE - FILL - SUBMIT
Use the navigation links at the top of each page to find the script, character, language or topic relating to your contribution, or use the search facility to find it. If your information pertains to more than one script, language, character, or topic, choose one to navigate to. You will be able to associate your entry with the others later.
Use the subject tabs at the top of each script/character/language detail page to select the subject area which most closely describes the information you wish to submit. If in doubt choose Use & History. Your contribution will automatically appear in the subject area you have selected, once it has been approved. Topics do not have subject areas, so if you are adding information to a topic go straight to step 2.
On the left of every script, character, and language page is an Add to ScriptSource button.
Click this button to be taken to a list of general contribution types, select the one which generally describes your contribution, then choose the specific type.
This will take you to an entry form on which your submission can be created.
The format and requirements of the form depend on the contribution type you selected. Guide text is provided below each field, but if you require more substantial guidance there are step-by-step tutorials for each type of form:
Some form fields - primarily multi-line ones - allow text to be entered using markup. Fields marked with a red asterisk are required, and the submit buttons will not be enabled if any of these fields have not been completed.
When you have completed the form click on the Save and Submit for Approval button.
Then you will need to confirm your submission, including licensing details. Once that is complete it will be forwarded to a moderator for review and approval. For more details on the submission and moderation process see our Editorial Policy.
If you would like to preview your entry before submission click on Save and Preview, or if you are writing a long contribution and just want to temporarily save click on Save and Continue Editing.
