  • In The Unicode Standard, Kannada script implementation is discussed in  Chapter 12 South and Central Asia-I: Official Scripts of India.

    The Kannada script was first encoded in The Unicode Standard version 1.0. Since that time the encoding has undergone a small number of modifications; the script is encoded in the following block:

Vedic Extensions are discussed in  Chapter 12 South and Central Asia-I: Official Scripts of India in the Devanagari Extended section. Vedic Extensions may be used with many Indic scripts.
