This is an excerpt from a ginan (a religious poem or hymn traditionally sung by the Satpanth Ismailis in South Asia) written by Pir Shams in the 16th century. This passage has been translated by Tazim Kassam, a scholar of ginans, as "Maker of water and earth, the roots of Creation, O ‘Ali! Indeed, yours alone is the [final] command!"
